Steve So'oialo


Steve So'oialo joined Quins from Orrell in the summer of 2004 and made his league debut against London Irish in the Zurich Premiership in the opening game of the 2004/05 season (4th September 2004).

Scored his first try for the club and was named man-of-the-match in the 31-17 victory over Leeds Tykes at the Stoop (28th November 2004).

He made his international debut for Samoa in May 1998 and played in the 1999, 2003 and 2007 World Cups. In the summer of 2004, he was part of the Pacific Islanders squad that played Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Nicolas Spanghero


Nicolas Spanghero joined Quins from French side Castres in the summer of 2006 and made his club debut in the pre-season friendly against ASM Clermont on 6th August that year. Made a total of 21 appearances in his first season at the club.

Represented France A earlier in his career.

David Strettle


David Strettle joined Quins from Rotherham in the summer of 2006 and made his club debut in the pre-season friendly against ASM Clermont on 6th August that year. The following weekend and he was part of the Quins squad that reached the semi-finals of the Middlesex Sevens.

Scored a hat-trick of tries in Quins 42-15 victory over Newcastle Falcons at the Stoop on 1st January 2007 and finished his first season at the club with ten tries to his name.

Strettle was a regular in the England Sevens squad throughout the 2005/06 IRB World Seven Series, before making his full England debut against Ireland in the 2007 Six Nations Championship; a match in which he scored a try of debut. Also represented the England Saxons team in 2007.

Paul Volley


Paul Volley joined Quins from French side Castres in the summer of 2006 and made his club debut in the pre-season friendly against Bourgoin on 11th August that year.

Prior to joining Castres, he spent 16 years with London Wasps and was part of the side that won both the Zurich Premiership and Heineken Cup in 2004.

Earlier in his career, Volley represented England at Under 21 and A level.

Tom Williams


Tom Williams had an impressive First XV debut for Quins in the game against the Sharks, from South Africa, in January 2004.

He then became a regular in the side throughout the 2004/05 season, scoring tries in the victories over Saracens (40-10, 12th November 2004), Gloucester (38-9, 5th February 2005) and Newcastle Falcons (39-23, 13th March 2005).

He was a key figure in helping Quins to win the inaugural Zurich A League over the 2003/04 season. In the same year, Williams was part of the England Sevens squad that competed in the IRB World Sevens Series, as he was during the 2006/7 season.
